Acupuncture to Treat Depression During Pregnancy

More often hear talk of postpartum depression, but less is known about prenatal depression syndrome, which affects approximately 10% of pregnant women. Treatment methods are sought safe for the fetus and has been found that acupuncture can treat depression in pregnancy.

Depression in pregnancy is as important as postpartum depression and the mother’s emotions negatively affect the baby during pregnancy.

The power would help combat well as acupuncture, the ancient Chinese therapy technique that involves sticking thin needles through the body for healing purposes.

The Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona, U.S., conducted a study with 150 women suffering from severe depression during pregnancy.
