Physiotherapist Activities

Typical work activities include:
- Work with patients to identify the physical problem.
- Preparation and review of treatment programs.
- Assist patients with problems in the joints and spine, especially after surgery.
- Assist in the rehabilitation of patients as a result of accidents, injuries and strokes.
- Supervision of physiotherapy assistants.
- Write letters to patients and case reports.
- Carry out the statistics for the patient, including collective management.
- Educate and counsel patients and their caregivers about how to prevent or improve conditions.
- Keeping abreast with new techniques and technologies available to treat patients.
- Liaising with other staff to deliver health and receive relevant information on the history and evolution of the patients and refer patients who require specific medical attention from other areas.
Physical therapists often see patients several visits over a period of weeks or months.
