Generally secretaries, clerks, computer make an abusive use of the computer and that brings dire consequences for the ligaments and joints of our arms and hands.

To prevent and relieve overloads, devoted to these exercises a few minutes a few times a day.

Supports the hand firmly on your desk, relax your fingers and slowly pull the thumb to the side and back. Hold 3 seconds.

Stretch your fingers

Supports the fingertips on the edge of the table and pushes his hand slowly, but firmly. Hold 3 seconds. First with all the fingers at a time and then one by one.

Dolls

Board fists on the table, with thumbs facing up. Keeping your forearms resting on the table, not moving, open your fists to the sides and back to the starting position.

Board the palms of his hands before his face and, without separating them, lower them as you can. From there, relax your shoulders and hands moving slowly back and forth. Notice how the tension of the stretch goes from a forearm to another.

It is known that the vestibular system participates in the processing of sensory and postural movements. Knowing many of these functions helps therapists determine the focus and effectiveness of its assistance strategy for training and restoring the function of the position.

The vestibular system can be compromised by infectious processes, inflammatory, vascular and traumatic. These conditions are reflected clinically in the signs and symptoms such as postural lainestabilidad, nystagmus, vertigo and dizziness. The activity carried out in day to day seem to be simple, however, for patients suffering from vestibular disorders, simple tasks like getting out of bed or go to the bathroom can be extremely difficult.

Vestibular rehabilitation is a therapeutic procedure, physiotherapy, which aims to restore balance to the patient, through mechanisms, substitution, habituation and adaptation. In this sense, their use has improved the quality of life and encourage healthy living guide the patient to the greatest extent possible, to control their symptoms

Although back pain affects about 80% of the population, only about 5% to 10% progress to a chronic condition. But this minority is responsible for most medical expenses. The problems caused by back pain have stimulated research and technological development in this area. The increase in X-rays, MRI, CT and the increase in the number of spine surgery have not been enough to prevent the progression of this symptom in the population.

We must make every possible effort towards the prevention of LBP with an approach that prioritizes the rebalancing of the lumbar spine functional and individual education and resources for prevention of back pain.

Physiotherapy education programs for patients with mechanical spinal injury
diagnosed, have shown that a majority can successfully learn how to mitigate this lumbar pain and more importantly how to avoid future problems.

The importance of physiotherapy and therapeutic work with back pain in the function of the spinal disc and cartilage elasticity and the fibrillar organization of scar tissue and coordination of motor units.

We understand the person as a unity, not only anatomically separate elements. The balance between form and function depends on the biomechanical body awareness and commitment of the individual.

As general rules to prevent spinal pain should not be used for long high heels, or platform, not stand in the same position for too long and not having the abdominal muscles with a curved back.

When necessary we stand for a long time, we lift a foot and change position often, keeping the task to a suitable height and if we can, place one foot at a higher altitude than the other and alternate the position of both feet frequently.

The task must not be too low and / or away from us, should be at the correct height.
Standing long with bent spine can cause back pain. Can be eliminated by placing a foot on a small bank. A small stool allows one leg bent in the hip region, which relaxes the iliopsoas and “flattens” the lumbar curve.

You can understand then to physiotherapy as a set of therapeutic procedures aimed at treating diseases through the movement, whether active, passive or through special machines (mechano)

It is included as a branch of knowledge of physiotherapy and should be performed by a physical prescription.

Not to be confused with the Kinesiology kinesiology, as the latter is
study of movement, is not indicated for the treatment method is the science that studies human movement in all its forms and treatment through movement.

The passive physical therapy is to mobilize the movement in which eshecho by an external force to the patient, or oppose this or help;
while in active physical therapy is done by moving the patient forces
with or without the intervention of resistors or external aid.

Immobility causes a reduction in the functional capacity of an organ, and later generalized to multiple organ systems. The kinesiology enables the restore function, improve recovery and our general well-being.

The main purpose of the mattress is to help position the body during rest and sleep, so as to provide as much relaxation as possible.

The ideal position of rest for a joint is one in which smaller forces are acting on them and welcome the joint surfaces, ie it should decrease the weight of the segment, the force of gravity and muscle contraction. The ideal mattress from the viewpoint of orthopedics, it would
anyone who can give more rest to a greater number of joints.
body, in the largest possible way

When the mattress has a very high density, body weight is distributed mainly in the bones, causing pain and discomfort in these areas, with consequent muscle contraction.

If the mattress has low density, deform and does not provide sufficient stability for the body at rest, overloading the joint stabilizers, such as ligaments
and muscles

In order to avoid disruption of skeletal muscle of the spine, you need a proper adjustment of body position, and not just the mattress

Sprains commonly known as “sprains” are injuries of the ligaments that hold the bone ends of the joints caused by a sudden movement that exceeds the functional limits without altering the joint congruity. When altering joint congruity is a dislocation. The severity of the sprain that is set with the ligament tear or not. Sprain almost always affects weight-bearing joints like the ankle and knee.

The clinical manifestations are sprains and localized pain, local swelling, warmth, swelling and decreased function. The pain of a sprain is severe and prevents sports for a variable period of time however, with appropriate treatment, ankle sprains and not reversed quickly become a chronic problem.

The inflammatory phase lasts strain between 1 and 7 days to 15 weeks
normal ligament has reached its pre-injury status, although
this period will depend on the distance between the edges of the ligaments.

In the mild sprain swelling must be limited by applying ice to the early days, along with a bandage. Rest is important in recovery, leaving the member high Inflammation can be reduced by keeping the ankle as high as possible and appropriate use of compression. We do exercises to strengthen the ankle. If there is pain when walking, the support should be avoided to prevent increased injury. Recuperamemos mobility to return to physical activity.

Hydrotherapy is the use of water as a therapeutic agent, in its different states and at different temperatures. It is a valuable tool in the treatment of pathological conditions such as trauma, rheumatism, digestive disorders, respiratory or neurological.

Hydrotherapy can be applied through:

Bathrooms: may be total or partial and different temperatures depending on the type of application you want to.

· Bathrooms simple: is made in tank or bath to relax the patient. Can be cold or hot.

· Bathrooms partial: those who apply on a particular body part.

· Bathrooms Steam: steam is projected on the area to be treated, and then cover with a towel.

· Bathrooms contrast, alternating the application of water at different temperatures.

Swirl · Bathrooms: its effectiveness lies in pressure exerted by water in the affected area.

· Bathrooms masters: it combines water and electricity.

Whirlpool spa, is a sulfur bath activating blood circulation.

Showers: the effect of the shower is caused by water pressure. Applications vary depending on the pressure and the type of issue.

Jets: apply high pressure water through a single hole, allowing to concentrate the therapeutic effect on a particular point. The jets are applied at different temperatures and pressures.

Additives: it complements the action of water adding substances to it.

Washed: the use of wet wipes on the skin.

Compress: wrap it comes to which herbs are added.

Ablutions, water is poured directly on the body.

Some forms of hydrotherapy application of most popular and well known are:

The hydro-spa: This treatment is done in a special tub that has more than 100 jets and mini-jets of thermal water and air are applied simultaneously in different parts of the body. Allow the person to fully relax, reduce rheumatic pain, stimulates blood and lymphatic system and alleviates muscle fatigue.

Sulfur baths, are performed in a jacuzzi with thermal water of sulfur, with temperatures ranging between 34 and 40 degrees Celsius. Stimulate blood circulation, relieve muscle and bone pains, reduce stress, is relaxing and prevent skin conditions.

Steam: clearing the airway, relieve sinusitis, clean impurities from the skin and eliminate uric acid and body toxins.

Methods of application of thermotherapy:
Arena

It is a solid physical agent. It is applied as a bath, covering the patient with hot sand where the temperature should not exceed 45 º C. You should not cover their heads and bath should last no longer than 30 minutes. This type tends to produce large sweat bath.

Dry Wraps

This is the use of blankets or warm blankets for either local or general application. Placed directly on the skin and the duration of the application can be quite long.

Termóferos

Termóferos known as all those solids that are heated and used previously for therapeutic purposes, such as bricks, hot water bottles, etc.

Paraffin

Paraffin is a semi physical agent whose melting point is 52 º C. Has the property to maintain its heat for a long time.

Muds

It is a mixture of paraffin with volcanic mud whose melting point is very high, so it is necessary to cool before use.

Dry air

This is a hot air bath can be used in local or general treatment. The application is made in a closed room where the air temperature goes up gradually to 40 º C to 60 º C for 25 to 60 minutes.

Water Vapor

It is used for general applications as saunas, Turkish or Russian bath and local application.

Infrared

Lamps is implemented by infrared radiation power. Be applied for 10 to 30 minutes at a distance of 20 to 25 cm. The infrared applications produce analgesia, vasodilation, hyperemia and increased body temperature. It is mostly used in cases of chronic pain and a half to circulatory diseases.

Diathermo

This is a technique of high frequency electrotherapy is produced by a buffer capacitor generates waves and thermal effects which produce an increase in deep tissue temperature, increase blood flow and vasodilation.

It is the application of heat on the body for therapeutic purposes through high temperature material bodies. The heat spreads in the body producing a temperature rise as a result of which the therapeutic effects emerge.

An agent is considered warm heat whenever it is between 34 and 36 º C and no higher than sensitivity of the skin of 58 º C. Termoterapeutic application has several effects:

At the cellular level: it increases the metabolic processes to a point where, no matter what the temperature rises, lowers the metabolic process.

Blood circulation: the most important effect is thermoregulation that produces at first a brief vasoconstriction and then vasodilation produced by hyperthermia. In the entire body surface vasomotor reaction occurs that has a reflex action in areas distal to the application and important effects such as improvement of cellular nutrition, bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and analgesic.

Digestive system: The application of heat diminish secretions and increase gastric muscle tone, and increases intestinal movement.

Urinary system: the heat rises and accelerates diuresis bladder emptying.

Respiratory system: the heat causes increased respiration rate and water vapor content in the inspired air, which results in a thermoregulatory mechanism.

Nervous system: the short-term hot stimuli increase the sensitivity and the lower short-term, resulting in sedation and analgesia.

Muscles: The heat relaxes muscles, is an antispasmodic and eliminates fatigue, increases elasticity and decreases muscle tone.

Skin on skin heat produces a temperature rise, changing the circulation and local sweating. It also increases the evaporation of water through the skin and reduces the sensitivity of the tactile nerve endings.

Therapeutic effects of thermotherapy:

Anti-inflammatory, anti-inflammatory effects of thermotherapy and can be used in any type of inflammation, except acute phase.

Painkiller: This effect is achieved within minutes of application. Its intensity depends on temperature, time of application and the conditions under which the patient is.

Antispasmodic: thermotherapy acts on the muscle spasms and contractions in both skeletal muscle and in the viscera.

Salutary lesson: local intense heat therapy can produce an increase in blood circulation.

Searing: when heat is applied in a given area and intensity than skin tolerance, there is destruction of tissue burn.
